Anne Millar  -  Chairperson

I attended Finaghy Primary School, Methodist College and QUB, gaining a law degree before becoming a chartered accountant. I retired in 2014 having worked in the wholesale meat trade, the textile industry and, for the last 23 years, in the hospitality sector.

I have served on the Board of Governors of McArthur Nursery School for 8 years, the last 3 as Chair.

Having played hockey, I remain involved in my sports club and maintain an interest in sport in general. Other interests are gardening, painting and history. I serve as Honorary Treasurer of several organisations and have a particular interest in ensuring McArthur operates within its budget.

I firmly believe that a good education needs to be broad as well as deep and enhances the quality of life as well as providing the tools to make one’s way in the world.
